The Road to the Cloud…

Ever wonder what heaven is like? Sure, we have an idea…some preconceived notion that we’re told from the Bible and a little (or a lot) of imagination. But really, we don’t know. Quite an awkward way to start a post about cloud services, isn’t it?

Truth is, you hear this over and over but everything is going to the cloud. Well, not everything but a lot of stuff we’re used to. One of the more frustrating things for me personally is that IT guys don’t fully understand this yet. But it is coming…and that means change. Problem is we don’t know where it’s going to take us. But we know change is going to happen.

microsoftbizcard219border People as a whole don’t like change from my view. I, on the other hand can’t wait for change. If I become stationary for to long, not pushing myself than I get bored. I’ve had a motto I've lived by for awhile now. It just so happens to be related to a company I often work with, Microsoft, but I didn’t choose it because it was from them.

Change the World or go Home

This concept of cloud services is one of my ways of helping change the world. Some people are afraid of this and I completely understand why. It’s different. Just like heaven (insert thought link to beginning statement) we really don’t know where this is going to take us and some of us are fearful of that.

I’ve been “on boarding” a couple clients to some small cloud services but the more I do it, the more I begin to think a lot of new things are going to be arriving from the Internet as a platform. Whether it will be SaaS or S+S I personally think is irrelevant. The point is that it will happen…a paradigm shift of sorts that will change our perspectives.

I’ve had a taste of this and I’m running as fast as I can towards it. Join me?
